New moon

In this phase the moon is not visible because it is located between the Earth and the Sun, it is not advisable to get a haircut. This is not a period where haircuts can be recommended as it is considered to be a moon phase which is damaging to the hair and where a weakening of the hair fibers and greater hair loss occurs.

If you have cut your hair during the new moon, we advise you to use some natural hair strengtheners such as shikakai on your hair and use a good hair mask once a week to prevent split ends.

First Quarter

If you want your hair to grow much faster and gain strength you need to cut your hair during the waxing moon phase, ie, when we see a half moon in the sky. It is an ideal period for cutting the tips of hair, getting rid of split ends and improving the capillary structure in general. It should be noted that it is preferable to get the haircut between 12 noon and 6pm, as among those hours there exists a progressive increase in the lunar pull.

To boost your hair growth further, use honey as a natural treatment after having had your hair cut it is a great hair softener and will also help untangle your hair while preventing breakage.

Getting a haircut on a Waning Crescent lunar phase is the best choice for women who have a large amount of hair with so much volume that it may at times become annoying. By cutting hair on a Crescent Moon it will grow slower and will maintain the shape of your hair style longer. The new cut should be between 6 am and 12 pm, when the lunar pull is in decline.

This is why this is also a good time to shave your beard, as it will grow much slower.

I have been following the lunar cycle for quite a wile now. I can assure you it does work. In my country this is something our grandmothers tell us but i have read that indeed the moon affects human body. It is responsible for infux & reflux..well our body is 80% water, so why won't it affect us as well? Git it a try. You have nothing to lose anyway :)
At times the article mentioned cutting the hair between 6am and 12pm and also 12pm and 6pm. Do these times vary for different timezones? What timezone are you in? Great article.
