With you want to bleach your belly or lighten arm hair, one of the safest and most effective ways to lighten abdomen hair is to use a commercially available bleaching cream. This product is specially prepared for these purposes and has simple instructions.

To use bleaching cream on your stomach hair you should:

  • Wash the area with soap and water and dry it well.
  • Mix the components of the bleaching cream in equal proportions, usually composed of ammonia and bleaching powder.
  • Apply to the hair with a spatula and leave for 5 to 7 minutes. Don't leave it on any longer as the skin may suffer an allergic reaction.

Although commercial products are often the most effective to lighten your body hair, there are alternatives which might provide what you need. Some natural products might help lighten your belly hair without damaging your sking.

Lighten stomach hair with lemon

A natural solution for to lighten and bleach hair is to apply a little lemon juice juice to the previously washed area, preferably using a cotton ball or bud for more precise application. You can use bottled or organic lemon juice, but freshly squeezed is always better. Leave it for 20 minutes and then remove with warm or cold water.

This method can take time, so we recommend you repeat the process every day until you get the tone you want. If you want to speed up the effect you can apply a little heat to the area using a hairdryer at medium temperature. Do not hold the hairdryer too close to your skin or you might burn it.

Lighten stomach hair with chamomile

Like lemon, chamomile has a lightening effect, especially for those who have brown hair that isn't very dark. Chamomile is made by infusing fresh or dried chamomile in some hot water and letting it cool. You can use a chamomile tea bag, but be careful to check the other ingredients.

The procedure is the same as explained above: apply the chamomile with a cotton ball and leave it for 20 minutes. Repeat every day until the abdominal hair has been lightened as desired. This is the most gentle method than the rest but perhaps not the most effective.

Lighten stomach hair with hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is also commonly used to bleach abdominal hair. This method is the safest and most effective natural bleach, made of only hydrogen and oxygen molecules. Luckily, it is also cheap and easily available.

  1. Mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with water in the ratio of 1:1.
  2. Soak cotton wool in the diluted hydrogen peroxide and apply on your hair.
  3. Allow the hydrogen peroxide mixture to stay on your skin for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly
  5. Moisturize your skin with a thick cream

Be careful not to leave the hydrogen peroxide on your skin for too long. It is normal to feel a tingling sensation but if it burns or starts itching, remove immediately and rinse with cool water. We recommend you do a patch test before commencing the bleaching process.Patience is key as perfect results will not appear immediately. You may have to repeat the process for several days.

The first thing to think about if you decide to lighten arm hair, stomach hair or any body hair, is whether this is the best option for you. It is your body and your decision, so you should think about it and decide why you want to lighten it. There is body hair discrimination against dark body hair, something which can affect many people's self-steem.
