The first thing you should do to clean your makeup brushes is to turn on the tap and let it warm up a little. It is very important that you clean your brushes with warm water and not cold, as cold water will not clean the brush completely.
When the water is warm you can start with the cleaning. To clean the brush you do not need to buy any special product for cleaning make-up brushes. You can do it with baby shampoo or any PH neutral shampoo.
Put a drop or two of shampoo in the palm of your hand, wet it with warm water and rub the brush in your hand with circular movements. It is imperative that the hairs of the brush are facing down at all times. Under no circumstances should you put the brush with the hairs up because water can get into the handle or become stuck in the ring (metal part connecting the handle with the hairs) and rot. Rinse the makeup brush with plenty of water under the tap, also with circular movements, and take care not to wet the metal part.
Repeat step 3 several times until your makeup brush is completely clean. Cleaning make-up brushes is very important to prevent germs from producing and being transferred to your face. It is advisable to clean your makeup brushes at least once a week.
