What are the properties of glycerin for the skin?

It is no wonder that glycerin is present in the composition of many soaps, cosmetics for the face and body lotions, as it has magnificent properties that care and beautify the skin. Take note:

  • It is very moisturizing: Glycerin attracts water and causes the skin to retain it, thus preventing dehydration and all the symptoms of dry skin, such as tightness, flaking, itching, rough areas, etc.
  • It is rejuvenating: If the skin holds water it is not as vulnerable to the effects of time and therefore, it remains young and radiant for much longer. Glycerin helps prevent the appearance of wrinkles and combats sagging.
  • It is a disinfectant, antiseptic and bactericide: All these properties make it an excellent ingredient to treat acne and improve the appearance of oily skin. Its moisturizing and antibacterial properties make it ideal for combating the symptoms of conditions such as dermatitis or eczema. It helps damaged tissue heal quickly.

If dark spots have appeared on your face due to age, sun exposure or hair removal we recommend you try the following glycerin facial mask. • 125 ml lemon juice

Preparation: Mix the glycerin with the previously squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. When the mask is ready, apply it directly onto the stained areas of the face.
