The first step you should take to apply dry shampoo is to divide your hair into several strands. The number of strands will depend on the thickness of your hair, so divide it into more strands if you have very thick hair.

Once you have done this apply the dry shampoo on each strand following the line of the parting, making sure you spray a small amount of dry shampoo on the root of each strand from a distance of about 9 to 10 inches away.
