Almond oil is perfect for the skin as there are many benefits of this oil. It is also very easy to make and get the results that you can't from other shop-bought oils. It is said that is also perfect for dry skin. In this OneHowTo article, we show you how to make almond oil at home in a very simple way.

You'll need:

  • 2 cups unroasted almonds
  • Olive oil (at least 2 or 3 tbsp.)
  • Mixer or blender

Steps to follow:

1

Using a mixer or blender, grind the almonds as much as possible. It is best to start on a low speed and gradually increase it as the pieces get smaller. If the batter sticks to the sides of the blender, turn off the blender and clean it.

If you don't have a blender you can also use a pestle and morter.

2

Grind until it becomes a creamy paste.

3

Add oil. If the batter forms a hard ball, add in more oil. One spoonful will be enough.

Make sure it is olive oil, if it's extra-virgin all the better!

Keep on blending until they stick.

4

Once the batter and the oil have mixed, store the mixture in a container in a dry place for 2 weeks.

5

After this time, when the oil has separated from the cream, you should sieve the oil to make sure there are no loose parts of almond in the mix.

Only keep the oil that is on top.

Now you can use your almond oil for your beauty routine! A great idea is to add almond oil to homemade bath bombs and let it act on your skin during a relaxing bath.
