The area around the eyes is one of the areas on the face where aging is most noticeable. Therefore, besides applying a good anti-wrinkle cream to the face, it's also advisable to use an eye cream that both moisturizes this delicate area and gives you a radiant, younger look.

Read on to find out how to apply eye cream correctly, because the effectiveness of the cream will depend largely on the application method used.

Steps to follow:

Before applying eye cream, first cleanse your face and follow a good wash with toner and moisturizer. Settle on a daily routine for better results. Clean skin absorbs products perfectly, so don't forget this step.

As we explain in this article, it's a good idea to start using eye cream at 20 years old - this way you'll prevent premature wrinkling.

When your face is clean, squeeze a little bit of cream onto your ring finger and apply around the eye area by gently patting and without dragging the product at all. You could also use the eye cream more extensively, using it to target wrinkle-prone areas, such as crow's feet.

How to Apply Eye Cream Correctly - Step 2

People with eye bags should apply the cream delicately, patting gently and working from the outer corners of the eyes inwards.

If you want to get rid of your eye bags, you can try a wide variety of home remedies from the classic cucumber slices to more surprising methods.

In contrast, those who don't have any eye bags should work in the opposite direction, working from the inner eye outwards. This stimulates the skin and will eventually banish fine lines.

Eye cream should be applied both morning and night. Therefore, in the morning, as well as moisturizing the delicate skin around area, you'll also remove puffiness, so common after just having woken up. At night, your aim should be to wash out and re-nourish the skin with much-needed moisture after being exposed to wind, sun, pollution, etc. all day.

This is how to apply eye cream correctly: With a daily routine, careful cleaning and moisturizing, you'll prevent wrinkling and look awake and radiant all day long.

Hi Beverley,

This article might be able to help:

However, while there are creams we can use to reduce wrinkles and lines, some will not be easily removed and we may simply have to tolerate them as a part of aging.
