As you can see the papaya is one of the best natural ingredients that you can use to exfoliate and beautify your skin at the same time. To prepare this homemade papaya scrub you need:

  • 2 slices of papaya that isn't very ripe
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
3

First, cut the papaya in half, remove the seeds from inside and remove the skin with the help of a knife or a potato peeler. With the latter, the process will be much easier and faster. Then cut 2 slices of papaya for the scrub, and use the rest of the fruit to prepare a delicious juice or add to any recipe.

4

Put the papaya slices cut into pieces in the blender and also add the sugar and honey. Process all the ingredients for a few minutes until it makes a smooth and homogeneous paste. Note that the honey is crucial for providing extra hydration and natural moisture to your skin.

5

Once the papaya scrub is ready you just have to apply it to the face. Your skin should be clean and to maximize the benefits of this treatment, we recommend opening the pores with steam to remove all dirt and leave your skin completely renovated after the scrub. Discover how to do so by reading our article How to open pores with steam.

Using your fingertips, spread the scrub over the whole face using a circular motion without pressing too hard, and focus on the parts of the face with most imperfections. Leave the lotion on the skin for 15 minutes and then wash off with fresh water.

How do I storage the scrub

It's best if you use the scrub directly, though you can store it in the fridge in a sealed container such as a tupperware.
Hope this helps
