The first thing to do before painting your nails is to wash your hands carefully, paying special attention to removing any dirt or grime from your nails. By doing this, the polish will stick to the nail better and last longer.
To keep the hands looking clean for longer, apply a transparent base before the polish so the colour stays better and so your nails are protected from the nail polish pigments that could stain your nails.
One reason the enamel will flake easily is a failure to apply it correctly, so paint your nails from the base to the tip with vertical movements.
