How To Treat Ingrown Eyebrow Hair With Home Remedies

Ingrown eyebrow hair or trans-follicular penetration, occurs when hairs grow within the skin and do not resurface to the exterior. This condition can trigger skin irritation and the appearance of lumps, which can even provoke infection if not treated in time. An ingrown eyebrow hair should be treated with care, this is why OneHowTo would like to show you how to treat ingrown eyebrow hair with home remedies.

You'll need:
  • Hot water
  • Clean cloth
  • Face scrub
  • Tweezers
  • Aloe Vera
Steps to follow:
1

The first thing you should know is that the formation of ingrown hair on your eyebrows may be due to several causes such as excessive eyebrow shaping (especially when threading), plucking eyebrows too hard or irritation in the follicle. We should also note that if you notice that the ingrown hair may be infected, the safest way to remove it is by going to a specialist.

2

To treat ingrown eyebrow hair, the first step will be to apply heat on the area to help the pores on your skin open. To do so, heat up some warm water and apply carefully with a small cloth on the area. You should apply the heat for at least 10 minutes for this to work effectively.

3

You can then make a homemade face scrub to exfoliate the area softly. Your best bet is to make a coffee or fine grained sugar to avoid any unwanted scratches. If you don't want to make it you can also use a commercial product, just make sure it is specific for faces.

4

You should repeat this process for a couple of days so the area of the skin softens properly and helps the hair come to the surface. It is best not to apply too much makeup on the area during these days and, if you do so, make sure you moisturize properly and remove your makeup effectively at night.

5

After a few days, you'll notice that the hair will be much easier to remove. Make sure you pluck the hair with clean and sterilized tweezers to avoid infection. To do so, dip the tweezers in boiling water before using them, let the tweezers cool down a little and pluck.

6

Straight after you have plucked the hair you should apply an antiseptic cream or, alternatively, apply Aloe Vera gel to the area to avoid any infections.

Remember that if the hair is very deep or is very red a professional should take care of it.

7
