You can use Chamomile cream or ointment which is available in stores or you can make your own chamomile compress at home. Geen tea based ointment or cream can be used on the affected part or you can simply make a green tea cold compress at home. Boil green tea leaves or brew the tea bags in hot water. Strain the liquid and refrigerate it. Soak a compress in this liquid and then apply it on the affected part.

Licorice

Glycyrrhizinic acid is one of the main component of licorice and it is a very powerful anti–inflammatory agent. It is very effective for rosacea and reduces the redness along with swelling. It also reduces itching due to rosacea.

Buy a licorice based gel from your nearest store and apply it on the affected area twice in a day.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar from your own kitchen is a great natural remedy for rosacea. It has anti-septic and anti-inflammatory properties and it also helps in maintaining the normal pH of a person’s body.

Apple cider vinegar can be consumed or it can be applied externally on the affected area. You can consume 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted in one cup of warm water twice a day. You can also apply it directly to the affected area to treat rosacea.

Oatmeal

Another ingredient from your kitchen effective in treating rosacea is oatmeal. Oatmeal has a very powerful anti-inflammatory effect on the skin, it soothes it along with reducing itching and redness. The proteins and polysaccharides in oatmeal bind to skin and acts as a protective barrier.

You can use oatmeal based soap to remove the burning or stinging sensation of rosacea. To apply oatmeal directly on skin, add 2 tablespoons of oatmeal in a little water and then apply it on the affected area.
