Soak 2 tablespoons of red lentil in water for an hour and then make it into paste. Mix it with 1 tablespoon of turmeric and fresh aloe vera gel. Apply on the tanned area. The simple humble potato is packed with amazing benefits for our skin. Its juice removes blemishes and tan and it can also be used for its anti ageing properties.
To remove tan, peel a medium sized potato and cut it into chunks. Blend it into a blender to make a paste. You can add a tablespoon of lemon juice and/or few drops of rose water and/or few drops of honey into the potato paste for added benefit. Apply the paste on your face. When it dries wash it off with cold water.
Lemon juice has natural bleaching property. So, you can just place some slices or apply its juice on the suntanned area. Wash your face after 20-30 minutes.
For extra benefit you can add cornmeal which is a great face scrub or sugar as a cleansing agent or honey for the instant glow. For a cooling and soothing sensation, add cucumber juice.
Besan and Haldi (Bengal Gram Flour and Turmeric)
This combo pack is a powerhouse of exfoliation and tan removal. Combine 2 tablespoons of besan with a teaspoon of haldi and make a paste. Apply on face and leave it until it dries. Then moist the area and remove the pack by gently scrubbing it. You can replace the water with rose water while making the paste.
