If you don't take good care of your nails it is possible that they become soft or brittle. Improving your diet and enhancing external care will be key to improving your appearance.

As is the case with skin, hydration is very important, so if you have no idea how to moisturise you nails keep reading, because here at OneHowTo.com we give you some tips that will help you have the beautiful hands you have always wanted.

Steps to follow:
1

Determining that our nails are dry is very easy, as you'll notice they have lost their luster, they are fragile and break easily. They are usually dry due to the use of chemicals that can be very strong, such as acetone, bleach and other cleaning products.

If your goal is to keep your nails moisturised and that they are naturally strong, it is important that:

  • You avoid applying nail polish remover with acetone. It is best to use a product without this ingredient, it will be much kinder to your nails.
  • Always use gloves when you go to do the cleaning or handling strong products that may damage your nails.
2

If you want to moisturise nails and make them look beautiful, it is important to eat a healthy diet rich in vitamins by eating vegetables, fruits, fish and meat frequently to ensure you're getting all the nutrients you need. But as happens when we want to keep skin hydrated, for healthy nails you can not forget to drink water in sufficient quantities.

It is recommended to drink 2 litres of water a day. You don't need to strictly drink these 2 litres, you can also eat foods that contain big quantities of water.

3

Use moisturising creams on your hands as it is essential to ensure that our nails are in perfect condition. Aoaps, very hot water or sudden changes in climate may end up affecting this area. We recommend applying a moisturiser with vitamins and nutrients in the morning and evening, preferably before going to sleep, so they can actually penetrate the skin without being removed, acting more deeply.

4

If your nails are weak, dry and dehydrated, you can apply a simple and effective home remedy that will help them recovery. Pour ¼ cup of olive oil in a container and put your nails in for 10 minutes, then remove and wash. Repeat this procedure every day for two weeks and then do it once a week, always with nails without polish.

Olive oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, one of the best ways to nurture your nails and keep them beautiful.

5

If you do not have olive oil on hand, you can use other good alternatives such as coconut or almonds to make your nails hydrated, strong and beautiful.
