It can also be used as a natural laxative for constipation or for cleansing diets.

Besides the internal benefits, dandelions can be used externally via dermal application, i.e. on the skin to treat conditions such as eczema or boils. And it is why, in addition to drinking dandelion tea, you can also make dandelion essential oil.

At the same time, it is also important to know that this plant has some side effects for people with certain conditions and diseases, so you should read about them, as they are not suitable from pregnant or breastfeeding women, for example.

3

To make dandelion oil, first you need flowers or fresh dandelion leaves; so it's best to have a pot of this plant at home or have it somewhere outdoors where you can collect it.

4

If you are preparing dandelion oil using its leaves, you should wash them thoroughly to remove any dirt and impurities and, put a few tablespoons of almond oil or castor oil in a saucepan which will serve as the base for your new essential oil.

5

Next, cut the dandelion leaves small with a knife and add them to the saucepan of oil. Wait until the mixture starts to boil and cook for about 10 minutes. After removing from heat, you should cover the saucepan and let it sit for at least an hour before applying the dandelion essential oil.

6

You can also use the dandelion flowers to make the essential oil, these also need to be fresh and you'll use a base of oil. In this case, place the flowers in a pot and add your chosen oil (almond, olive, sunflower, etc.) to the brim.

7

Then cover it with gauze and fasten with it with tape or a rubber band to keep in it a sunny place such as a balcony or terrace or even a window. Continuously check the condition of the flowers and, after about two weeks, you will see the characteristic yellow color of the flowers turn brown. When that happens, strain the mixture to remove the flowers and put the essential oil in a clean and sterile jar.

Your dandelion oil is now ready to be used!
