How to Apply Bronzer on Fair Skin
A bronzer is a must have makeup product that will give you a sun-kissed glow with very little effort. If you have natural fair or pale skin, you want to avoid products in very dark shades that don’t look natural on your complexion, thus a bronzer can add just the right amount of shade to accentuate your features in the most effortless way. Also, if you burn easily, a bronzer can give you a beautiful summer tan without all that unwanted redness.
In this OneHowTo article we share in very simple steps how to apply bronzer on fair skin.
The first thing you must know is that bronzer is not the same as blush. Bronzer is used to warm up pale skin by providing a slight tan around the edges of your face. Blush usually comes in more red colored tones and will work by accentuating your cheekbones. You may apply some blush to your face but only to your cheekbones.
For fair skin the best bronzer shades are slightly yellow based and very gentle peach tones. Again, don’t go for darker or more intense shades and perhaps opt for some natural homemade bronzers. It is best to go lighter and apply several coats if needed. You may notice that some bronzers may not work on you all year around since in the warmer months your skin may be more tanned.
For a professional effect use a combination of liquid and powder bronzers. Powder bronzers can leave the skin dry and powdery but by combining them with a liquid bronzer you can bring back some vibrance to your skin. Make sure that the liquid and powder bronzer blend in together when applied to your skin.
Now that we have the basics covered let’s jump to how to to apply bronzer on fair skin. Grab your liquid bronzer and squeeze a little amount on your ring finger. Then trace a line down your hairline from your temple, across your cheekbone in a 90 degrees angle towards your nose and then follow your jawline from your ear to your mouth. Repeat this same process on the other side.
Then grab your powder bronzer and your bronzer brush. Tap the brush slightly on the powder and remove any excess powder. Trace the same lines as you did before with your finger. First your hairline, then your cheekbone and finally your jawline. Make sure that you blend all the lines smoothly across your sides for a uniform effect.
You can also tap your brush gently on your nose, the top of your forehead and the area around your nose just for an added glow. Don’t cover the are under your eyes as you want this area look lighter. Finally, add some of the powder brush to your neck and chest areas to complete your look and avoid having different skin tones on exposed areas.
